No Venice Beach, CA is the people on the promenade selling bags in the itinerant sales drop in New York?

Im thinking of undertaking a trip to Venice Fall Beach to buy handbags and sunglasses, as in New York. I was curious if anyone knows good places in California by the response

I'm not sure Venice Beach is your best bet. I know in the Garment District in downtown Los Angeles, sell.
